In addition to its free wine tasting, River City Cellars offers a free beer tasting the third Thursday of every month from 5:00pm - 7:00pm through May 2010.
This year's Cocktail Classic theme is "An Evening at the Cirque." Enjoy cocktails and hors d'oevres from local restaurant favorites including BlackFinn Restaurant and Salon, Bogart's in the Fan, Cha-Cha's Cantina, Home Team Grill, Melito's and Richbrau. There will be contests and prizes.
Tickets are $20 through February 17, 2010 or $25 at the door. Dooley Noted Society members receive a $5 discount on tickets.

Firehouse Theatre presents Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) by Shelia Callaghan. The play tells the story of a young girl who recently lost her father and how she and her mother cope.
It runs February 25 through March 20, 2010.

Girl Scouts will be selling their cookies in three locations in Carytown during the month of March.
Each Saturday from 12-6pm troops will set up cookies stands in front of It's Hip to Be Round (Nansemond and Cary), Pink (Cary Court - McCloy and Cary), Double T's BBQ (Colonial and Cary).
